Seedling progress

I planted about 30 peat pots with rainbow coleus seeds at the end of February. They just started getting colour last week, and I took this picture today. The little guy above is the only one (so far) with yellow and pink leaves. The rest of them are sort of maroon-ish in different patterns. Maybe if they were getting more sun?

Tiny people

Emily Martin of The Black Apple always posts shots of her new paintings on her blog before they go in to her shop. The original paintings sell out in about two minutes, but there are prints of the paintings (affordable!) for us to purchase. I really like her newest, titled "Terrarium", above.

My Seedlings

I started some seedlings at the beginning of February. It might have been a little early but I was too excited to wait.

The little green guys below will one day be cornflower blue Lobelia flowers. Can you believe it?

One day these will be pink peony poppies (!) and cherry tomatoes, in that order.
